They ate protein from prey, and grasses for igestion. The uncontrolled breeding and cross breeding going on now has turned a perfect species into something that only has one use...to serve man. With that being said, NO commercial diet is the perfect food source for any animal..dog, cat, whatever. My dog is showing some of the symptoms even though i was feeding him half a rice and veg portion with his grain free kibble. A few years ago, after numerous bouts of diarrhea and tummy upset, and being on the rice and chicken diet to settle his system before returning to kibble, he was loosely diagnosed as likely allergic to a food ingredient so I switched him to grain free, supplemented with human grade homemade rice-based food. That went well for a year or so but now he doesn't have much energy and tires easily. The vet did a general heart check and blood test and nothing chronic came up. A news show recently aired that the dog in used in the show did reverse/improve his heart condition once his diet changed. It is a not the first ingredient you want in a dog food, but it helps make for a better balanced diet. Look it up and don't believe that the expensive dog food is the option. There is no need for a dog to eat a 35 percent protien dogfood. That is just crazy. BUT Iams has a new dry food no wheat corn soy or artificial colors and my dog likes it and I feel better knowing it is healthy with the first ingredient being chicken. Common sense should prevail from what I have read on-line it is best to stay away from wheat soy corn liver artificial colors etc.thepoethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13729130801993652274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2602374525093767034.post-44650476311205183872017-05-06T11:32:19.502-05:002017-05-06T11:32:19.502-05:00Are you a Veterinarian? My vet says don't buy into this gibberish especially because I spent the last two months and several hundred dollars trying to figure out why my dog had digestive issues. As it turns out it was the "healthy" dog food diet I had him on (4Health Optimal Nutrition). No Grains, Soy, Corn, Wheat is a bad idea and dogs should have that in their diet. Even nutritional experts are saying not to buy into this bs. Your dog needs a balanced diet which includes grains. Don't believe the hype. You are advocating for these companies which is making them millions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2602374525093767034.post-62715781444288616992017-02-14T22:08:52.664-06:002017-02-14T22:08:52.664-06:00since the writing of this post, Purina has develop...since the writing of this post, Purina has developed Beyond and sit contains no wheat, corn soy or poultry by productsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2602374525093767034.post-29434291037799079182013-01-09T23:17:24.116-06:002013-01-09T23:17:24.116-06:00Add Taste of the Wild to your good for dogs dog fo...Add Taste of the Wild to your good for dogs dog food :-)shagahotmonkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01761009517273858071noreply@blogger.com
